Four Priorities Study
The Four Priorities book provides a pragmatic roadmap for our spiritual journey through life. I found it to be very helpful in tying in scripture in ways which enhance our everyday relationships with wives, kids, family and even business associates. I found the book to be comprehensive in touching on a large number of aspects of life. What I took away from the course study is a more focused faith and it has allowed me to slow me down in order to reflect more. Mike Reitzell

I found the Gathering in May, 2006 after a guy reached out to me and offered to pray for me, totally unexpectedly. I had been looking for a men's group with good fellowship and was also searching for some personal spiritual enrichment.
I was told about Bob Schuemann and the Tuesday lunches at First Presbyterian, North Palm Beach, and the ministry of the Gathering of Men and decided to try it out. Many of the guys have encouraged and reached out to me.
The men I have met and the experiences that I have shared have changed my life. I have learned what it is to be a Christian and what it means to have a personal, progressive relationship with Jesus Christ. My journey and transformation thus far, have been amazing and words are not enough to describe the changes I have seen in my own life and the further changes that I need and want to make. I have met and continue to meet, on a daily basis, men from every walk of life and every denomination that continually amaze and encourage me.
I am brought to this simple passage from (Romans: 1:11-12-NIV) “I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith".

The only time in the past few years that Bob Schuemann have ever steered me wrong was on a golf course. We were playing together and he said that he thought that the water didn't go in front of the green on this particular par 5. Sure enough I found that mysterious water, that did make it to the front of the green.
I have known Bob since April of 2004 when we were introduced by a mutual friend. I was going down paths that were going to lead to the destruction of my marriage and my family. I realized that I could only screw it up worse if I left it just up to me. I reached out to Bob and asked for help. At that time he didn't have the tools or personnel to help me directly. But he did know of people who specialized in my problem and directed me to them. And they did help to get me back on track.
But not only did Bob help me get to the people who could assist me but he offered me the opportunity to be a part of a group of men who met every week. I live in Boynton Beach, but I work in Juno Beach so I was away from my church support group every weekday. I know facing temptation is not easy when you are near your church community much less when you are away from it. I needed he fellowship of Christian brothers to help me stay focused during the work week. The luncheons at First Presbyterian Church of North Palm Beach on Tuesdays are a wonderful opportunity to fellowship with fellow Christian brothers. A delicious lunch for $5 and a great, spiritual walk strengthening program afterwards that cannot be beat.
In addition to this is the "Primetime" Bible Study that happens on Wednesday mornings where the Word of God is taught by different pastors of different denominations. I guarantee it is some of the best teaching you will ever hear in Palm Beach county. We all need to strengthen our knowledge of God if we are going to follow His plan for our lives. What better way than with a group of guys seeking to do the same thing?
I refer to Bob Schuemann sometimes as "Bob the Tool Guy". The Gathering is a great resource for many, many studies on men's issues in today's world. Issues such as the battle with lust, how to be a better husband, how to be a better dad, how to win the war against pride, etc. I have tapped Bob time and time again for books to hand to Christian brothers who are in need.
If you are looking to "Get Connected and Stay Connected" then the Gathering of Men in Palm Beach county is the place for you. The one thing that you must give to it to get anything out of it is your time and your presence. As the old saying goes you truly do get out of it what you put into it. Take the first step and reach out for the help and the fellowship that the Gathering has to offer you.
